techno · Broken Adjoint
Fresh farm render at 128 BPM in extended structure with auto-DJ ON — so the renderer applies pitch/FX/pan/shape macros every 4 bars from the auto-DJ pools, producing structural variation natively. No post-processing on top.
This is the response to the too much chaos feedback on the petri-cycle remixes: rather than collage uniform source bars through a metamodel, let the renderfarm's built-in arrangement engine do the work and ship the result raw.
Pipeline
run-farm.sh --genres synthwave --per-genre 1 --structure extended --auto-dj on
| step | output |
|---|---|
| seed-feed.py generate | canonical envelope with autoDj.run=true baked in, pitch pool added |
| chromedp render | opus-encoded audio.webm (1:38, 1.48 MB — auto-DJ silences compress well) |
| farm seal | content-addressed CID over the envelope JSON |
Auto-DJ macros active
When auto-DJ is ON the renderer fires one macro every 4 bars from the enabled pools. The disabled pools (drop/breakdown/half-time/etc) stay muted at the seed-feed default.
- Active pools: Pitch, FX, Pan, Shape, Transition, Fills, Tempo
- Mute groups: stinger (default)
- Initial mutes: hit1, hit2, hit3, hit4
Source envelope highlights
- Tempo: 128 BPM (4/4)
- Bars per loop: 1
- Render-time seed: 1781090239695127196 (different from the auto-DJ-off sibling — auto-DJ on/off is baked into the envelope, so it changes the CID)
- Root: C3 · Major scale
- 9 instrument nets: kick · snare · hihat · bass · melody · hit1–4
Compare to the auto-DJ-off render
- techno · Crimson Colimit — auto-DJ off — same seed parameter (1001000) but auto-DJ=off → different envelope → different CID. Same project skeleton, no macro variation; useful as the static reference.
